What videos can I add to the website?

Please read the section "VIDEO RULES" which explains the type of videos you can add.

How many videos can I embed or upload?

You can add as many videos as you wish however we suggest you limit it to 3 videos per day.

This benefits ALL users because adding large numbers in one session means that people do not get the opportunity to look and comment on them all - it also means that other members videos get swamped and also your own may get missed.

I have never made a video before How do I make one?

Please read the section "MAKE A VIDEO" This gives guidance on how to make your videos.

Can I add slideshows?

Normally no (A slideshow is a sequence of related photographs) Although BTV may sometimes do them for promotional purposes.

If you have an idea for a BTV related slideshow please contact the ADMIN team to discuss details of your idea BEFORE making your slideshow video to ensure that it would be accepted.

I have videos already on YouTube and Google can I add them here?

Yes you can as long as they meet the requirements in the section "VIDEO RULES".

On the "Add Videos" page it explains how to embed (put) your YouTube and Google videos on this website. However because videos are often removed or have the soundtracks removed on external video websites it is best keep a copy of your video. You may be able to upload it to a different site and re-embed here on BTV-You can also upload directly to BTV using our own uploader

I have videos previously shown on YouTube but which are no longer available on YouTube can I add them here?

yes only if you are able to upload them to and embed from an alternative site and as long as they meet the requirements in the section "VIDEO RULES".

I have embeded a video from YouTube and on the video page it shows the YouTube logo not a screenshot why is this?

The site hosts "NING" are aware of this problem which does happen from time to time, They advise that you should re embed the video and this should correct the problem.

I have embeded a video from Facebook and on the video page it shows the camera logo not a screenshot why is this?

Unfortunately Facebook embeds do not currently support the screenshot facility

Im having problems embedding videos to BedroomTV, What do I do?

Please contact the ADMIN Team and they will be able to help you.

What happens about offensive language?

Please note that videos with swearing in them are NOT allowed under our rules which were drafted to ensure videos were family friendly and also suitable for possible later transmission on any future TV channel

Any video containing the F word (and similar) will be deleted immediately.

Videos can be considered if the word has been bleeped, however if your video is a lip sync the bleeped word must not be identifiable by way of miming the word.

Videos I have added have been removed why?

All videos must meet the requirements and rules given in the "VIDEO RULES" section.

The ADMIN team reserve the right to remove any videos which do not comply.

If you need guidance on a video you have made before embedding (uploading) please contact a member of the ADMIN team for help.

What happens if my account is suspended?

Dont worry your account will never normally be suspended without you being notified of any problem and you will be given up to 24 hours to take action to comply with such notification only if nothing is heard or done in respect of the notification will the ADMIN team suspend your account.

You will still have the opportunity to contact us in order to comply with the notification and your account will be restored.

HOWEVER, your account will be suspended without notification for clear breaches of site rules, such as posting advertising links or pornographic material, spamming, bullying etc.

No member is BANNED although a suspension can be permanant in the case of spamming, advertising, pornography or persistent breaches of site rules.

One of my profile questions has a padlock by it why is this?

This question can only be seen on your profile page by yourselves and the ADMIN Team, Anyone looking at your profile page will not see this. The question was introduced to stop spamming of members by commercial companies.

What about my personal security?

We would ask that members do not display their personal email addresses, MSN contact details, Post Codes or phone numbers on their pages or give them out publically by an open message or blog.

Please exchange details by the email system. You may, of course, include links to your Facebook, MySpace, Bebo or other Social site.

Can I access the BedroomTV website on my iPhone?

Yes you can by using the following address: www.bedroomtv.com/m

However certain applications are not supported by the iPhone so will not be available for example videos because the iPhone does not support flash.
